The Song Of God
Coryphospingus cucullatus, painted by Rcidte

The Song Of God

This morning as I was getting started on my day
I stopped and listened to the birds singing the sweetest
melodies this side of Heaven. I just paused and was
enveloped by their sweet refrain and God's song. So I
spoke to them and said:

Don't stop singing your melodies
I tell them each new morn
For it is something that is needed
in our world so torn
A reminder of how God loves us
and cares for us each day
Is the song the birds sing so early
as we start along our way.
Thank You, God, for their songs so sweet
that remind me so of Thee
That i can go on my way so happily
knowing you care for me.
