So many times I take for granted
the best friendship of all
Knowing that He loves me
and upon Him I can call.
He is a friend Who understands
whatever I'm going through
And is always there to help me
when l am feeling blue.
His Spirit is always encouraging
to help me do my best
And always trying to teach me
that life is but a test.
Sometimes I do very well
and sometimes not so well
But He is there to comfort me
whenever I do fail.
H e picks me up, we try again
until I understand
That life is but the testing ground
before the promised land.
