The Price He Paid

The Price He Paid

One morning when I was praying
I was as happy as could be,
To think that God so loved me,
He gave His Son to make me free,
As I contemplated the giving up
of one of my sons at all,
In anguish I found I could not stand
And upon my knees I did fall.
"Oh, Lord," I cried with all my heart,
"How can I ever repay
The debt I owe to you alone?
I must hasten and not delay,
Whatever I can do for You,
Will You show me, Lord, today?
And help me to always remember
What You gave for me that day."
