LORD, today I look around and see
a lot of people in pain
They are running to and fro
and life has become insane.
Lives today are so weighed down
with so much worry and woe
Lord, help me to be an example
and show others where to go...
That they may find Your Sweet Peace
that will restore their soul
And find that only at Your feet
can they be made whole.
Too many things take our attention
and You are left behind
And You are only called upon
when they are caught in a bind!
Our life is nothing without Thee
and we need You all the time
To reach down and take us by the hand
for these mountains we must climb.
You said You would be with us
and we have found that to be so
Lord, have mercy on we, Your children
as we learn and as we grow.
