The Greatest Treasure

The Greatest Treasure

I would not have you mourn, beloved,
for I have gone to our heavenly home.
My time on earth was over
and no longer must I roam.
Stand bold and courageous for our God
and make every moment count.
For He in His infinite mercy
does hold us to account.
For every day He gave to us
and what we did to honor Him
is written in the Book of Life
and it is filled to the brim.
So take heart and know we do live on,
and do all the good you can
for you can never, ever imagine
the treasures he has in store for man!

c. 2002 Karen Langford Brown

"Therefore being always of good courage,
and knowing that while we are at home in the body
we are absent from the Lord -
for we walk by faith, not by sight -
we are of good courage, I say,
and prefer rather to be absent from the body
and to be at home With the Lord."
II Cor. 5:6-8 NAS Version
