How can it be that I forsake You so
when You are always there for me?
O wretched soul, that ignores Thee
what will become of me?
How can I take You so for granted
and all the gifts You freely give?
All given for my enjoyment and life
so that in You, I might truly live.
Take me to Thy bosom, Lord, and
show me really who Thou art
Fill me completely with Your Spirit
so I may live fully from my heart.
